Description
Clifton® Digital Water and Oil Heating Circulators are designed for external circulation of temperature controlled water and heat transfer fluids in a closed circuit or for maintaining a stable temperature environment in the bath for the immersion of flasks, bottles and racks.

Thermocirculator can be fitted to water baths, tanks and containers using accessory Mount Bracket.

Clifton® Thermostirrer is a durable stainless steel construction, painted surfaces are powder painted with tough anti-bacterial finish with good chemical resistance. Easy to use controls that wipe clean and have an anti-bacterial finish. Immersed components are corrosion resistant. Quiet running in use and providing excellent water temperature stability. Indication of heating, over temperature alarm and timer running.

When a low liquid level is detected a “FiLL” message automatically appears and heating is suspended. Once refilled, heating is restored and temperature control resumes automatically.

Over and under temperature alarms automatically protect work in the water bath, providing heater cut off, visual message and indicator.

A second safety device can be set just above the working temperature, protecting samples.

Thermocirculator pump comes with convenient push-fit and lock fittings on both inlet and outlet ports for secure external liquid circulation.
Controls
Featuring a bold LED display of measured temperatures in real-time and in increments of ±0.1°C, using a precision PID temperature controller. Setting for water temperature only or combination of temperature and time. Timer setting variable in 1-minute increments from 00:01 [hh:mm] to 99:59 [hh:mm] with “end” message on completion of the timed period. Time and temperature settings are retained in the memory, even after the unit has been turned off.

Easy to use controls, utilising touch keypads for setting time and temperature values with indicators for heating, over temperature alarm and timer.

The heater unit can be set to run at a set temperature or commence the timer once the water reaches set temperature.

Features auto setting over and under temperature alarm protecting your work at set temperature.

Every unit undergoes a factory calibration at two temperatures for validation.

A second safety device can be set just above the working temperature, protecting samples.
Safety Features
Features a low liquid level float switch which ensures heating is switched off if the liquid falls below the recommended level the display will show “FiLL”. Heating is switched off but stirring continues. To reset carefully top up the liquid to the recommended level.

The under/over temperature alarm is automatically set 4˚C above and 4˚C below set temperature. When in alarm condition the indicator illuminates and actual bath temperature is shown. If bath is over temperature both heating and stirring are switched off. Once liquid temperature has fallen or risen above/below the alarm setting, the indicator clears and actual bath temperature is shown.

A second safety device can be set just above the working temperature, protecting samples.

Heating/Cooling Information
For cooling a water bath use an accessory Immersion Cooler DC1-300 refer to Accessories. Where bath temperatures are below ambient we recommend a 80:20 glycol:water or LB-5.0 Lab Bath. We also recommend a lid or layer of spheres for insulation. The water bath should be used in ambient temperature 20°C.

For water temperatures above 60°C we recommend that an accessory lid or layer of spheres are used for optimum performance. This will reduce evaporation and a lid will keep the samples and water free from contamination. Optimum performance saves energy by reducing electricity consumption and running costs.
Recommended fluids
100% water: 5°C to 99°C

20% water 80% glycol: -20°C to 90°C

Lab Bath 4590: -15°C to 90°C

Silicone oils, up to 10 centistokes, synthetic thermal liquids: 99°C to 130°C.

Power Consumption (220-240V)
1300W
Energy Consumption
0.5kWh @ 37°C

The lower the figure, the less energy used. Information supplied for size and range comparison, guidance only and measured consumption at set point. Please remember that the energy consumption may vary due to factors such as its location, ventilation, ambient temperatures and loading.
Warranty Period
3 Years
Features and Benefits

2. Efficient water movement and temperature control provides accurate temperature stability throughout the water bath.

3. Three-year warranty and comprehensive customer support.

4. Broad range of accessories available to suit a wide range of applications.

5. Before leaving our factory every water bath is identified with a unique serial number and undergoes a factory calibration adjusting control to known traceable value, electrically tested for safety at final inspection and a test certificate enclosed in rear of the instruction book.

6. Thermostirrer control panel and painted surfaces feature “anti-bacterial technology” which inhibits bacterial growth, improving hygiene requirements as demanded by clinical and laboratory environments. The Clifton range features easy to clean surfaces and finishes that are resistant to routine and efficient disinfections. The efficacy of the finish is maintained over time, as the anti-bacterial agent is integral within the paint finish.

Stainless Steel Gable Lid to fit 8 Litre Stirred Baths

Clifton® Stainless steel Gable Lids helps reduce evaporation, assists in keeping samples in a water bath free from contamination and saves energy. These stainless steel gable lids with a high profile allows extended use of the bath, right into the edges of the tank. No drip points to contaminate samples whilst the lid design ensures all condensate returns back into the bath. Insulated handles for safe use

Flat Lid, Stainless steel, 8 litre baths

Stainless steel construction with wipe clean surfaces. These LD4 Lids provide insulation and consistent water bath performance, reduce energy consumption and running costs. In use they reduce airborne particles contaminating the water. Fitted with insulated lifting handle for convenience.

Polypropylene Spheres

This blanket of hollow spheres is ideal for open tanks of water. Reduces thermal losses - Savings of up to 75% can be achieved with a single layer - Increase energy saving & reducing costs. A single layer of spheres covers 91% of the liquid surface trapping air in the gaps which adds to the thermal insulation properties. Reduces steaming - vapour losses reduced by 90%. Reduce vapours & splashing. No impedance to workload.
