Description
This Stirred Clifton water bath can be left running without supervision at a set temperature.



It can also be used to automatically increase the water temperature by a 'set value' after a 'timed period' and repeat this cycle until reaching end of its program.



Control


  • Example operation, set temperature is automatically increased by a programmed value e.g. +2°C after a timed interval e.g. 24 hours.

  • The temperature increase can be adjusted.

  • The time period is adjustable from 1 minute to 99 hours. For example a 24 hour 'time period' provides up to 16 days of operation.


Temperature control - accurately controlled and set values reproduce able every time using advanced PID control.

Water bath


  • Designed for continual use, fitted with a constant level device, which automatically maintains a fixed level of liquid thereby eliminating the need to regularly top up the bath. Using standard laboratory
    tubing, connect to the bottom outlet of the constant level to a regulated water supply/tap, adjust the water supply to provide a drip/slow feed of water, maintaining temperature control and automatically maintaining safe
    water level. The side outlet acts as an overflow to a sink or drain.

  • We always recommend fitting a lid to reduce liquid losses and maintain the water level for longer periods of time.

  • Immersed components are corrosion resistant.

  • Supplied with removable stainless steel false base designed for good water circulation and water temperature stability.

  • Corrosion resistant stainless steel tank crevice free.



Safety

  • A safety cutout float switch - low liquid level protection.

  • Over temperature alarm automatically set at +4°C above set point, with heater cut off.

Heating/Cooling Information
1. All temperature measurements and performance claims have been carried out in ambient temperature at 20°C and installed correctly with adequate ventilation.

2. Above 60°C or below ambient it is recommended that to achieve optimum performance and reduce energy consumption the bath should be covered with a LD4-x Cover or layer of polypropylene spheres - see accessories.

3. "Adaptive tune" provides instant control from start up and automatically adjusts PID values with actual temperature readings being fed into its brain until it achieves set temperature. These adjusting PID values determine heat-up rate, the load and volume of liquid producing negligible overshoot. All this happens automatically and requires no setting giving you peace of mind.
Safety Features
1. In use a Safety cut-out Float switch monitors the water level in the bath and when it drops below a safe working amount the heater switches off. When this happens a red warning alarm indication illuminates on the controls.
2. For peace of mind protecting your work there is auto setting of the Over and Under Temperature alarms, operating at +4°C and -4°C about set point temperature with heater cut off, indication.
3. Bath is fitted with non-slip rubber feet for safety.

11. Before leaving the factory each water bath undergoes following:
Uniquely identified with its own serial number recorded on our product database, which includes all of its manufacturing inspection data.
Electrically tested for safety at final inspection and a test certificate enclosed in rear of the instruction book.
To verify the performance of the temperature control system every one undergo a factory 2 point calibration procedure which calculates the temperature values over the operating range.
12. Powder painted body providing a durable finish and protection against corrosion and now featuring “active anti-bacterial technology”. This paint finish actively inhibits bacterial growth improving hygiene requirements as demanded by many clinical and laboratory environments. Hygienic coatings are part of a controlled approach to cleaner facilities. The Clifton range has always featured easy to wipe clean smooth paint finishes that are resistant to routine and efficient disinfection’s, however this improved coating featuring ‘active anti-bacterial’ properties provides an extra layer of defence. This new anti-bacterial paint finish is effective against major strains of bacterium including E-coli and Staphylococcus aureus, resistant strain. Within its formulation an active ingredient is a proven anti-bacterial agent bound into the coating during application and curing to the product. The efficacy of the paint finish applied to the Clifton range is maintained over time, as the anti-bacterial agent is integral within the paint finish.

Stainless Steel Gable Lid to fit 22 and 28 Litre Stirred Baths

Clifton® Stainless steel Gable Lids helps reduce evaporation, assists in keeping samples in a water bath free from contamination and saves energy. These stainless steel gable lids with a high profile allows extended use of the bath, right into the edges of the tank. This blanket of hollow spheres is ideal for open tanks of water. Reduces thermal losses - Savings of up to 75% can be achieved with a single layer - Increase energy saving & reducing costs. A single layer of spheres covers 91% of the liquid surface trapping air in the gaps which adds to the thermal insulation properties. Reduces steaming - vapour losses reduced by 90%. Cooling Coil - water feed for background cooling

The Cooling Coil immerses into Clifton® Stirred or Circulating water bath, behind the Stirrer, without affecting bath working area. When connected to a cold water supply it provides counter cooling depending on tap water temperature and flow rate.

Immersion Dip Cooler (ambient to -20°C)

Designed to be used in conjunction with a Clifton® Stirred or Circulating water baths. The immersion coil fits into the rear access hole behind the Thermostirrer without sacrificing the working area. The immersion cooler runs continuously providing counter cooling with bath providing temperature control from ambient to -20°C. This model is the more powerful refrigeration Immersion Cooler makes it particularly beneficial for larger volume water baths.

Stainless Steel Hinged Gable Lid to suit 22 Litre Baths

1. The Gable lid has been designed allowing full use of whole width of a Clifton water bath with the lowest height of the gable being 45mm above the bath. This unique feature means test tube racks or flasks can be placed across the whole width of the bath without fouling the lid maximising the bath working area.

2. Designed with customer in mind ensuring where condensation accumulates in use there are no drip points which could spoil work in open flasks in your Clifton water bath.

3. Where an accessory TC-1 Thermometer is used the temperature can be read from the thermometer with the lid in place.

4. Lid fits into the tank ensuring all condensation runs back into the bath and not down the side onto your bench top.

5. The hinged lid has the added advantage where bench space is limited, the lid hinges back to the vertical position to access the bath where as a conventional lid requires lifting off the bath and placing on your bench top.

6. With continuous sampling work a conventional lid has to be removed frequently to access samples/work this hinged lid is designed with this in mind.

7. The Lid hinges back to just over vertical position as in image above.

8. Using the 'Side lifting handle' minimises the risk of hot steam rising from bath reaching your hand in use.
